Hope in a time of need

The unique value of the Beacon Project lies in its purpose: it is a response to this time in human history.

While most people, newspapers and leaders are still committed to 'Business as Usual', we can all see human systems failing faster and further each year.  We also witness the growing crises in the natural world.

The Beacon Project isn't here to catastrophise, but rather to meet people's genuine experiences and feelings.  Alongside healing and support, we all need to shift our thinking away from Business as Usual and towards what Joanna Macy calls The Great Turning - the fundamental changes to our way of life that will come in the next century.

Tools and learning exist to understand the current 'Metacrisis', to find peace, hope and inspiration, and engage with this time in history with skill and resilience.

Everyone who encounters the Beacon Project will be offered these skills and this perspective.  This elevates the Project beyond the considerable value of a therapy and retreat centre, and into being a vital offering for the whole of the UK.
