A community of experts
The time of radical individualism is over. This time calls for a return to community, sharing and interdependence. Countless studies show us that we need to combat isolation in the world, to grow skills in authentic self-expression and to build and maintain support networks.
The Beacon Project will teach these skills and help people to heal the personal wounds that interfere with their ability to deeply connect.
However, it will also model a healthy, functioning community, and visitors will be invited to witness and participate in aspects of this community.
Each member of the residential community will have their own home and private space, but we will all actively participate in the tools and habits of maintaining a flourishing community. We will support one another, challenge one another, and honour one another's needs.
Visitors will be welcome to attend many of the meetings and events that foster this community, including:
Daily morning check-in circles
Accountability and Way-of-Council sessions
Community cooking and gardening days, and shared meals
Hobby and music nights
Day trips
Skill and therapy swaps
